How to stop second guessing yourself

The first question to ask yourself is why do you feel the need to consult others when making decisions?

Is it that you think that your decision isn’t right or you think that your decision isn’t the best decision? If either of these are the case, then you may be struggling with self trust.

The choices or decisions that you make aren’t finite. There can be many right decisions and many best decisions. There isn’t just one right decision or one best decision.

Second guessing yourself doesn’t make the decision work out.

So what you can do is make your decision, and then go all in on it and not second guess it. 

Believe it or not, it’s the second guessing that contributes to the decision not working out the way you want it to. 

It’s not that you made the wrong decision. It’s that you’re not all in on the decision that you made.

Practices that will help establish and strengthen your self trust

I have three practices to share with you that will help establish and strengthen your self trust.

Practice 1

Become aware of your feelings. When feelings come up, don’t discount them and tell yourself that you shouldn’t feel this way. Be with the feelings. Sit with them and feel them.

Practice 2

Stop beating yourself up…period.. for everything and anything. The past, the future….whatever. Just stop!

Practice 3

Make yourself a priority. Include things in your schedule that fill you up. Take time to rest and reset.
